Big Dog's Backyard Ultra World Championship Mexico

Big Dog's Backyard Ultra World Championship Mexico

In our ongoing commitment to support the running culture of the Raramuri peoples, True Messages is excited to sponsor and support the Big Dog’s Backyard Ultra World Championship Mexico. We expect of the 15 total elite Mexico athletes that will represent the Mexico entrants to the event, 12 will be from the Sierra Tarahumara.

The worldwide 2020 event will perhaps represent the greatest ‘last person standing’ competition the world has ever seen.  Twenty-two plus nation countries each bringing 15 of their best endurance athletes together for one worldwide competition. Every runner will start – only one will finish. “The World Champion will truly be the last person standing on Earth” (Laz)!

The Mexico event for the Big Dog’s Backyard World Championship is an invitation only event.  Only the best endurance runners throughout the country will be considered for entry (*those interested should apply directly to the event management team).  The event has already secured some of the most legendary endurance athletes in all of Mexico. Please follow along for updates as we release individual runner information.

All races in each country will begin at 7:00 AM Tennessee USA time (6:00 AM Chihuahua Mexico). The first annual Big Dogs Backyard World Championship Mexico will take place at the Parque de Adventura, Barrancas del Cobre, in Chihuahua Mexico  . The event will be live streamed with results to a international platform that will aggregate all participating countries feeds into one live digital broadcast for worldwide viewing. The Mexico event will also have several additional broadcast and social media platforms where viewers can follow along with the runners as the hours and kilometers mount and the competition intensifies.

Do not miss following along with this race! It could likely go down as one of the greatest endurance running events in history.
